With weather patterns changing ever so frequently, yet modern science presenting facts that the 19th and 18th centuries were warmer, do you think that with industrialization the planet keeps getter warmer overall?

I would have to say that MythBusters and How It's Made rank pretty high up for me.
What about every one else?

www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/main/index.html
On May 14th, the shuttle Atlantis will be having its last launch to the International Space Station. This is one of the last launches until the end of the shuttle program. Nearly 50 years after the space race, it is kind of saddening to see that the shuttle programs is ending.
Thoughts?

Recently read that dark chocolate can help after strokes (
www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/05/100505163242.htm
), so this thread is dedicated to similar stories or wisdom about such foods.

Very interesting mini-serious on the Discovery Channel about some of popular scientist Steven Hawking's new theories on the universe.
You can watch the serious on youtube here:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2oYS9-Ee9U
He discusses a broad topic of subjects, but in my opinion the most interesting point he brings up is that "time travel is possible."

In February, President Obama denied a 100 billion dollar plan to do more research on the moon and instead diverted some of the money towards this and other rocket technology programs.
Personally, I feel that moon exploration would have been a better option. What does everyone else think about this new capsule and the US' space exploration plan in the future?

This has been a big story the past few days in the news.
www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/21/AR2010042102100.html
With the impact of Iceland's volcano reaching all the way into parts of Europe such as Spain and England, do you think that the Volcano will get stronger or die down?
It has certainly caused a fair share of transporation and economic problems.

STDs are on the rise, addiction to prescription drugs are on the rise, and with all these iPods played at such loud volumes hearing loss wil be on the rise.
What other health problems do you think might be an epidemic in America in the future?

I might have been young when Dolly the Sheep was created, but there hasn't been that many high profile cloning cases in the past years.
Do you think that cloning animals will be used for medical purposes in the future? Or lead to plant/human cloning?
