I've heard arguments against evolution theory that say the Earth is not old enough, and mutations not frequent enough, to account for the bio-diversity we observe. Has anyone ever read this, and what is the rate at which DNA mutates???

I don't think we really know. Who even knows if we truly know that the earth is 5b years. Life may have been wiped out several times and came back.
Total huberus on both sides to claim victory. I'm assuming you're talking about the intelligent design crowd
